Bridgnorth District Council has proposed changes to the
contracts of some 120 properties in the Bridgnorth district (at least 2 of
them in Station Road Highley), with regard to sewage services. In essence
these changes aim to recoup the actual annual maintenance cost AND to pay
the full cost of Improvement works to their systems - by charging those
houses on the systems.

New Christmas Decorations
Looks like the village are getting new Christmas decorations this year rather than the old lights that have been used for years. Are we having a official switch on or not?
Severn Centre's Green Energy
New sun tube technology solar panels have been officially opened earlier this month by the Local Council. These are being used to heat the swimming pool and saving money on heating bills.

Landlord of Bach Arms pub stuck in Cyprus
Roger King has been taken ill while on holiday in Cyprus. He is said to have had an emergency operation for blood clots. It is not known at this time of his condition or when he is coming home.

The Kings Arms Pub Chelmarsh is set to close at the end of October 2005. It is said to have been sold to a property development company. It is also said that it will reopen as a public house after substantial refurbishment.
Now you will have to go to the leisure centre to see it

The Library has now moved into the new Severn Centre
But not every one is happy with this, talking to one person on the way out, they said they might complain about the abundance of "kids" roaming around the Centre unsupervised and causing a nuisance to other people. After all Libraries are supposed to be quiet places.

Little Dawley has moved closer to winning the league as their closest challengers The Cape of Good Hope had a surprising defeat to the Bache Arms Highley on Easter Sunday the score was 5-1 to the Bache.
